The Four Mile Run Christian Church Praise Band was formed about 3 ½ years ago under the leadership of Tom Smeltzer, The band has grown to include Curt Nickel on piano, Scott Hupko on bass guitar, Joe Kolenick on guitar, Tom Kirk on drums, Lisa Kirk - vocals, Cara Smeltzer – vocals, and Tom Smeltzer on guitar and vocals. Tom Smeltzer also serves the Four Mile Run congregation as Worship Leader.
Four Mile Run Christian Church, located in Austintown, offers two distinctly different worship services each Sunday. The early service is designed to honor God with a traditional service of hymns and choruses. In our second service, the Four Mile Run Praise Band offers an uplifting, contemporary format of praise and worship. Our ministry staff and church are all about Connecting People To Christ through Biblically relevant teaching and creating real relationships with each other. Our student ministry and children’s ministry offer excellent programming and events throughout the year.
Four Mile Run Christian Church, located in Austintown, has recently begun construction of an adjoining addition to its facility. The new multi-purpose building will include a 3,732 square foot auditorium, classrooms and a café. It is the hope and desire of the congregation and its leadership that this new facility will be an effective tool to Connect People To Christ. Four Mile Run Christian Church is a Christ Community Serving Others. Our new building, as well as our current building, will be available for use by our community’s various organizations, sports teams, scouting groups and others for banquets or meetings.
